If you can, have a rough sense of your numbers ready: your annual turnover, what entity type you run, whether you're GST-registered, and what's currently being handled in-house versus outside. You don't need anything polished — even ballpark figures let us give you a real answer instead of a generic one. If there's a specific trigger bringing you to us — a notice, a loan, a messy set of books, a CA who's gone quiet — tell us that first, because it usually shapes everything else.
We'll ask about where the business is heading, not just where it's been, because the advice changes depending on whether you're holding steady, raising money, or expanding. Expect us to ask a few pointed questions about your margins and your cash — that's us doing the job, not prying.
